Blockchain project Elrond has also changed its name to MultiversX to reflect its metaverse focus. The company aims to advance Web3 technology by developing products related to the metaverse. In addition, the company aims to take its previous work forward. With the rebrand, Elrond follows the lead of social media giant Facebook, which rebranded as Meta last year. At press time, the Elrond (EGLD) cryptocurrency is trading at $60, up 0.25 in the last 24 hours.
Finally, many things are done in the virtual worlds on the Metaverse platform, from buying plots to playing games. This enables the metaverse to strengthen its new reality. Also, Metaverse is a conceptual world where the internet theoretically becomes an immersive virtual environment for work, play, socializing and events. The word metaverse was coined by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel “Snow Crash”. It inspires many companies today.
